annabananna // uniqlo's "designer initiative project"

uniqlo just announced its spring 2009 lineup for their "designer initiative project". look, there's something for the boys, too. here's the deal:
"Steven Alan (think striped tunics and gingham blouses), Shipley & Halmos (sash dresses and sleeveless jumpers), and Opening Ceremony and Gilded Age (both designing men’s collections) are all slated to deliver mouthwatering lines for dirt-cheap prices. Steven Alan and Opening Ceremony will hit stores in March, while Shipley & Halmos and Gilded Age arrive in May."the projects' website will launch next month on february 23rd. i'm really curious!

comme des garcons: looks like an asian robin hood in a positive way.

kris van assche: the belgian designer shows a strong and powerful collection with oversized shirts, hoodies/tunics and a lot of grey.

givenchy: ricardo tisci has still a thing for dark fashion with leggings and can't go wrong.

raf simons: very classic, yet edgy.

where are the flowers, mr. van noten? you're collection is so classic without much romanticism. hmmm... don't know what to think about that.
